Using the Web Browser on your WinXP or Windows 7 Computer, log on to the LG G2x Website for instructions on how to get started. You should see the page like the one below.
NOTE: After the update is complete, it is recommended that you do a Master Reset on your G2x. Instructions on how to do a Master Reset are at the end of this document.

Click on the link that is pictured above. Download the LG Android USB Drivers to your PC. Make a note of where this file is saved

Before installing the LG Drivers ensure that the G2x is NOT plugged into a USB Port on your PC! This could interfere with the Driver installation.
Locate the Driver you just Downloaded and double click on it to install the G2x Drivers. Next chose the installer Language and press Next

Press Next to continue

Wait until the Driver finishes installing, this might take several minutes!

You will be notified when the Install is complete

After the Driver Install, it is important that you REBOOT your PC to ensure that the drivers are installed correctly. Once the PC has rebooted, proceed to the Update Utility portion of the setup.

Plug your LG G2x into the USB Cable that’s attached to your PC. You might see installation “Bubbles” In the Bottom right side of your computer Monitor as the Driver is properly configured for your PC.

Once you attach your G2x to the USB cable, the Update utility will read the phone to determine it’s model and the version of Software the phone is using. If your Phone is NOT the Current Version, the “Start Update” Button at the bottom of the window will highlight and become active. Press on the button to start the update process.

After you press the "Start Update" Button, the update process will be initiated.

The Update process could take several minutes, especially if your battery level is low. During the update, your phone might reboot multiple times, this is normal… Do not interrupt the update process.
The Update is done in 4 steps, Analysis, Download, Update, and finally Complete. During the Update portion of the Process, the Completion meter (Gas Gage) May Pause for a minute or longer when it gets to ‘4 %’ complete mark… this is normal, after a moment, it will continue on past 4 Percent.

Once the Update is complete will see the completion screen and your phone might reboot one final time. It is now safe to unplug your phone from the USB Connection. The phone might be a little sluggish for a few seconds, but it will soon settle down and you can start enjoying the new update.
