I downloaded ring tones and even though the show on the list they do not play, does anyone know why this is and how to fix it. My phone is a LGAlly

I had some ring tones on my Micro SD card that a transferred to my new Ally. I couldn't see them in the ring tones section so I asked a friend how I could get them on my Ally. He said that I needed to go to the music icon and I would find them in there. Once I did that I would hit the menu button while the ring tone was selected and it would give the option to set it as a ring tone. Sure enough, it worked!

On the ENV3 I am wondering if I received a link for a ringtone I wanted via text message, how on earth do you retrieve it and set it as your call ringtone please? I can't figure this out.
