Is there any possible way to set a music tone from either my SD card or my phone memory as a ringtone for when i get a text message? i have an LG Shine and almost every LG phone ive seen only comes with like 10 standard tones you have to choose from for your text alerts and i dont really like any of them. could someone help me please???? |

yes, you have to clip the song down with an mp3 editor so that it is less than 30 seconds. Then convert it to mono. Then email the mp3 to your phone @ yournumber@vzwpix.com or connect the phone to your computer and move the mp3 to the my_sounds folder then text it to yourself as a pic message. When you receive the email or text message under options select save as ringtone and viola!!! |

Hmm, being that VZW doesn't sell the shine.. that would make it pretty hard to use that method. |

oh, you try to use a card reader and connect it to your phone and computer so you can easily put it in to your phone, you don't need to text it to your phone, try it trust me |
