I transferred from my sony ericsson ringtones that I had.
Some are mp3, some are amr.

some of the mp3 are in the audio portion of my lg xenon and do not allow me to use as a ringtone.
others mp3 are in the sound portion of my lg xenon and do allow me to use as a ringtone.
I transferred them all the same way, yet they seem to have gone to different places.

Is there a reason why some can be and others cannot be used as ringtones? how can i fix this to use all as ringtones?

How can use amr as ringtones?

For your Ring Tones you will want to use MP3 Files or AAC, AAC+ ... Ring Tones can be in the same folder but are limited in size to 300 KB or smaller... That's why they appear to be showing up in different places.
