i want a gps program for my bl40. where i find it ? i found some gps programs but they dont run full screen or dont run...wiseplot wants a credit! example garmin gps play on os phones...

I don't have a BL40 to test so I can't see if there are any GPS apps that will run full screen on the BL40. Have you tried Google Maps?

yes google maps allready loaded on lg bl40 phone but it s not a gps navigation module and lovely but slow and its only map and really i know where i m. so can you help me for that i want a gps program as wisepilot and free use please. thank you for interest.

I don't know if LG has plans for another GPS Application, they generally come from other software developers... But you might check the LG store to see if they have anything available for your phone.

i am using a lg bl40 chocolate too the version is 10f.

okay now coming to the proble.

ive even had the same problems with the gps too but later on i tried exploring the  features of the phone in a research orinted manner.

what ive found is that there exists a real time gps chip inside your phone but its relatively slow

The gps system in the phone is a little of low sensitivity compared to the other gps enabled phones like i phone and blackberrys.the best part of this lazy bug is its a starter problem but unlike other phones(black berry and i phone) which loose connectivity once entering  a building this thing doesnt.

the gps is lazy comparitively

okay general problems which you guys have posted can be solved out very easil

reset the phone to factory

(go to main menu/phone settings/reset settings/reset   the security code is 0000)

still does not work?

try this

go out doors out where there is a direct line of sight with the sky for at least 160 degrees

lg bl40 uses sat nav so it uses 12 satellite links get a fix on.

make sure that its not a thick cloudy day cause the gps is a little sensitive and clouds will slow down and even may take upto 15 min to get fix.

generally to get  a fix of the satellites it takes 3 to 10 mins but once on it works amazing.

ive tested it with various products

all that are working fine with me are

2)GPSMid-generator: ONCE YOU GET YOUR FIX ON AFTER WAITING 3 TO 7 MIN(MAX) THE TACHOMETER IS ON YOU CAN CHECK YOUR SPPED AT WHICH YOU ARE TRAVELLING TOO( WORKS WITH THE HELP OF GPS ONLY)

3)Mobile GMAPS:

AMAZING APP WHICH HAS THE COMPATIBILITY OF CHANGING MAPS FROM

yahoo maps yahoo terrain yahoo hybrid,bing maps bing terrain bing satellite and bing maps

4)GOOGLE MAPS:

you need to wait till you get a fix on

5)WISEPILOT

the only way to check the gps signal strength(cause ive found no other way to check the gps signal strength

(a paid app i just use it for checking the gps signal strength)

now coming to the connectivity part

for the gps apps to grab the map date you need to have internet make sure that

in the internet profiles and streaming and java settings are accurate
