Yes "FAT32" is the format you want which will work on your PC and inside your Versa as well... When you put the MicroSD card in your Versa, make sure to set the "USB COnnection" mode to Mass Storage... That way it should mound on your PC as another removable hard drive.

You'll find that on all most all Cards the "Total Capacity" will be slightly above what you actually get. 3.7 or 3.8 GB is about right. You shouldn't have to do anything sophisticated to access the Card. I just prefer to do a format on the card as a precaution. It should actually work just out of the package

You can now sync your music however you would like. Just make sure that the Music files go in the "My_Music" folder on the card so the phone's music player will find them. I Sync my music using a Card reader on my PC as well as using the "Data" mode on the phone, it just depends on how I have things configured for that day. On the Versa there are two things you to set on your Versa.

1: (You mentioned this one...) When you plug the phone, I put my phone in Data Mode.

2: Go to Settings>>Tools>> USB Connection (I think) and choose "Mass Storage Mode" This will mount your Card as another removable drive on your PC, and will be recognized by Windows Media.

Good let me know what happens.... Make sure the Phone is in "Mass Storage" Mode becaus in Media Sync Mode, when mounted it will only show the Music files / folder ... Not everything on the memory Stick.
