The first thing I would try would be to pull the Battery out of the POP while it is Powered on. Let it sit for several minutes with any power to see if this will drain the Temporary memory and possibly help the phone recover. Place the battery back in the phone and power up again. If the phone still doesn't respond then I would say that, unfortunately, the Screen is bad and you will need to send it in for repair. You can either contact your Dealer or call LG Support in the region where you live. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. |

Is it possible that the problem is related to the accelerometer? Will the touchscreen "lock down" to protect itself before an impending impact? I noticed that if my phone drops from a small height onto a soft surface, such as a carpet, the problem with a non-responsive touch screen occurs. If it drops onto a hard surface - I've never had a problem. Removing the battery, even for several hours, does not help. To get it working again, I have to wack the phone in a particular way (it's a skill! - best technique is to wack it screen-down against your curled-up palm). Then it works flawlessly again. |
