You can tell for sure by going to settings, then About Phone and it should tell you Since the GT540f is an international phone I don't have access to it or to the international marketing plans for it, so I don't know if it's slated to get the 2.2 update or not..... You can contact LG support in your region and they whould be able to tell you if it will be upgraded or not.
