Unfortunately I don't have a GT540 to test, but at this point, if pulling the battery and for a few seconds and then trying to boot up again, it looks like your only fix is to do Master reset on the Phone.

Doing a reset will reset the phone back to the factory defaults, erasing everything and then restoring the Factory installed Apps... but NO Data.

The Manual for the GT540, that I can find on line doesn't seem to address the "Master Reset" procedure but I know on the US Android Phone the "Ally" you do the following:

* Power the phone down (Pull the Battery if necessary) for a minute or so.

* Then with the Phone off. Hold the "Home Key", the Volume Key (Up or Down) and then, with these keys still pressed, at the same time Press and Hold the Power Button as well... This should initiate the Factory reset mode.

* This could take several minutes to complete. While it is setting the phone up again you should see the "Android" txt Logo on the screen. It will be somewhat animated. When it's done, you will see the Android Robot dude just like when you first activated the phone.

After the Reset, your phone should be just back at the original version of Firmware and you phone will be like new and you can now add your accounts back.

Good Luck.

I'd the same experience. In the mid of the Update procedure, it gave an error "Phone Disconnected". It gave me some recovery procedure, but it didn't worked. I tried to boot in Download Mode ( Volume Down + Power Button ) and start the update procedure again. But Windows said "USB device not recognized". Now when my phone boots but shows only the LG logo. Not even the Reset method worked for me. Please, any experienced men knows a solution??

Maybe someone else can jump in here to help as well....  But, have you tried Volume Up + Search + Home keys pressed for about 5 Seconds?

Two options:

1. Try the KDZ update method (Google for it a bit, I'm sure you'll get it)

2. Or send it to the service center. They'll fix it within half-an-hour
