LGProductPro: Can LG confirm a report I just got at my local Verizon store? I understand that the Dare's long-awaited v07 firmware upgrade is now pending release. Can you please tell us what is IN the upgrade? I know we users have an impossibly long wish list, and we are all excited to see exactly what has been included. Thanks!

I get just as anxious to see what we release in the updates. Unfortunately, information isn't shared until the firmware upgrade is released. As soon as I get the information though I will share it in this forum, and on Twitter.

Sorry I don't have any information on it. The wireless providers are the ones to announce that. Wish I did.

LG Product pro do are you saying that the firmware is designed and rooled out by the carrier and not LG? If so would you know which department we LG Dare owners can direct our corospondences to?

I work with the developers and forward suggestions. LG does develop software releases, however the carriers have final say in what and when things are released.

So you're saying that LG could have already developed the v07 upgrade, but you can't tell us about it because Verizon may not want it released???

Verizon Wireless will want to do everything they can to make sure that the equipment they market is in the best shape possible. I doubt that would ever happen. They put the final stamp on the upgrade though so they announce.

In Canada, When you get the LG Dare, it comes with the software version 11. I am not sure about the USA though.

The CT9700 (Dare) and the vx9700 (Dare) goes by different version numbers even though the CT9700 uses VZW firmware..

So they may show version 11 and we may only show 06... Telus Needs a lot of updates the Java apps are low grade to say the least.. you would think they would have paid a little more to get a better set of apps or make a better deal with VZW so they could have used some of the apps like the music player.

BY the way LG ------ I can not beleave that VZW got you to Disable the Wifi .. I didn't even no about this until the other day..

You can add that to the what was you thinking ... so put that in the suggestion box.. WE WANT OR WIFI TO.. Now i am starting to see way the phone cost so much but the phone isn't worth it unless we give us back what VZW removed or disabled..

THanks

Well I am really close to just letting the hope go for any type of support from either LG or Verizon on the Dare since it has been discontinued. I guess that I was still holding on to that last little bit of hope that maybe we Dare owners would get a phone update that should have come out long ago. Hopefully one still shows up but I for one am not holding my breath.
