Sorry, I meant to say I would love to get the purple Lotus at Verizon. Right now it looks like only Sprint has it. We like Verizon and do not want to switch carriers. What do you think? Thanks

I think that you should never change carriers to get a handset. Phone technology will only continue to get better, and what seems like your dream phone today, might not be when you have to deal with Sprint's CS. Verizon has a policy about not activating handsets that they don't sell, but that may change in the future. Thing is, I'd rather have decent handset with an amazing company.. than an interesting or even great handset with a so-so company.

I don't use Bitpim that much but try selecting other CDMA phone and see if that will work for you. Good luck!

I think the form factor of the LG Lotus is a breakthrough with hand held data devices. It's the most practical design to come along in years!

The form factor is perfect, but I think there is room for other variations using this form factor. I would like to see a version of this phone that uses Windows Mobile that uses the thumb navigation pad as a mouse pointer. The center of the pad could work as a touch pad, while still allowing it to function as a directional button (up, down, left, right) and if pressed down, it works the same as the ok button. The software could be designed so that when you brush your thumb over the mouse pad fast, it scrolls long menus at a fast rate of speed. I would also like to see any phone with new processors that utilize core technology, so you can have dual core or even quad core mobile phone processors to run more demanding software platforms without sacrificing power consumption or the size of the device. Next gen Lotus could utilize a multi nav system using a touch mouse, touch screen or old school direction thumb pad.

I would like to be able to edit my previous posts (fis my bad typing & spelling). Also would like to delete my post/reply if it has no replies. Private Messages need to be private forums for each user. The current PM system send email with users email instead of LC Community Forums-no reply email address. The email should include a like to the user's private forum message thread. Users should be able to manage (delete) threads form their private forum. Posts should be actively managed. Posts/threads should be moved to appropriate locations and the user sent a message with a link to the new location. As the forum grows if threads aren't managed find info will be impossable. Consider eliminating/consolidating some topics. Forums with too many choices make it difficult for users to determin apropriate posting locations. Although if poeple would just read before they post, most of these suggestions would be unnecessary (just look at the mess at the beginning of this thread).

"discuss suggestions and requests for LG Community."

When do you done typing in this box ... and you hit Tab ... it should go to the Submit button, not to the Privacy Statement. This way ... you Tab then hit Enter which makes the Submit. I'm so used to doing this in other forums that I do it here. Unfortunately, if you hit Tab then Enter ... it takes you to the Pirvacy Statement page ... and completely wipes out your text here.

"LG would like to have an idea of the demographic of the people checking out the forum"
Right.

However, with all due respect ... I would like to see LG address ... for example, several of the valid, confirmed real issues that have been identified with (for example) with the enV Touch, by myself as well as several others (the T9 issue for example) here in the forum.

One of my favorites is ... the 'alert' (time in advance of the actual event) for any calendar event occurs approximately 24 hrs in advance of the event - no matter what you set for the alert time, which basically renders this function useless. So, through the KV04 software update (the 3rd I update I believe) ... nothing has changed. This seems a bit odd.

Also, it appears that LGPP is the only representative from LG (?). Obviously this person cannot respond to ALL posts, however ... on the other hand (respectfully) ... there seem to be minimal responses with with information regarding some of the major issues. And I'm only speaking relative to the enV Touch.

So ... whereas I'm sure LG would like to gather more demographics for marketing, it's time to ramp up solving some of the issues raised here in the forum.

Let me zero down on the EnV Touch. I am finding a way to streamline some processes and get the information you need quicker.

About the new LX 290 phone. Really nic e number pad, sleek looking, slides with a twist of a thumb...it even talks to me when I have messages. It's got a good size screen, but the text and numbers are way too small. The display is adjustable, but the tiny print display can only be made SMALLER! (You're right, this makes no sense). And the signal strength (a critically important meter on every cell phone in the world) is microscopic! This is a serious design flaw. There's plenty of display space, so why is everything (including nunbers display) so small?

And it's not my eyesight. Everyone I that's seen it pretty much say the same thing ,"Why is it so small?"

I'd like to keep this phone. Please fix this software to display correctly.

Upgrade the Rumor 2 software to support videos for this sweet screen, at least comparable to the original Rumor, preferably supporting MP4.
