Just want to thank LG for supporting a forum such as this. I have my first LG phone, a Wave with Alltel, so far I am very pleased with the phone. The only thing is, I wish there was a way to disable the Celltop feature Alltel puts on it. I would rather be able to use the left softkey to access my shortcuts and apparently you can't do that as the left softkey accesses Celltop. |

I am not sure about changing the soft keys yet (it is possible with other phones but i just don't have that much experience hacking the Wave). What i can tell you is on almost all LG phones you have the option of assigning functions to the Navigation keys. Also you might consider calling alltel and having them dissable your Celltop feature if you are worried about getting charged for accidental use. I'll look deeper into changing the wave's soft keys for you. Good Luck. |

Thanks for the reply. No I'm not worried about the charges and I found how to disable it updating automaticly, now I have to hit the refresh button before it tries to up date. It is just that the avalible cells ar not what I'm interested in and ones that are free such as the "call log" is slower to load than if I just hit OK and go to recent calls.
What I use most are the calendar and calculator and with the left softkey activating cell top the only to get to them, even if you have them listed in my shortcuts is to go through the tools menu or OK 9-1-2.
Thanks again. |

Do you mean instructions for how to add games? or do you want LG to put games on the firmware so you have them with the next update? because i don't think LG has that power. The carriers would have through a fit. |

I think you guys are missing the point of this request thread. This is for requests for the forum (functionality/topics/etc) and not for technical questions. |

Hi i just got the new LG Glimmer and i love the phone but can you guys please work something out with that ascending ringtone? I have way too many missed calls and missed text messages from where i cant hear it. It eventually gets a little loud but for example text message sounds are cut short and by the time it reaches full loudness, the phone has already stopped ringing. |

I sent these as a PM message but I read that the PM messages are going nowhere so I am posting here. |

Two issues that I would like to bring up, here:
First, I can't open this forum on my phone. The formatting is all messed up, and I can't even hit the login button. I'm doing this on a Voyager. Try for yourself on a Voyager, or even a Dare and see what happens. Nothing good. Many times, I have more time to respond to posts and such when I'm in line at the bank, the DMV, in the doctor's office, etc. I'd love to be able to check up on things remotely. The very best way to go about this would be with a WAP frontend so that users without HTML browser phones could participate, also.
Secondly, the survey popup is really annoying. There's no information as to what my results will be used for, and a picture of an XBox which seems strange, that LG would be giving away Microsoft hardware. Regardless, the popup doesn't behave like a normal one, and so most popup software doesn't want to block it. It loads slowly (where is that picture hosted?), and it doesn't go away, even after I relented and filled out the survey. |

Thanks for the response. I don't think I'll mind at all if I win, either. I just like to complain. |

Hey all. I'm fairly new to these forums, but I've been a loyal LG fan for several years. IMHO they tend to 'just get it' better than most cell phone manufacturers. That said, I have found one aspect of my newest device (the Dare) that really bugs me and seems a disappointing oversight of the developers. They've given us tactile feedback (awesome) but it's non-specific (wha?). You get feedback as long as you touch the screen. Unless I'm thinking incorrectly here, that makes the feedback virtually useless. I'm pretty sure I'll know when I hit the screen with a finger. What I need to know is when I hit a 'clickable' button or key. The non specific feedback makes texting a good deal more difficult than I think it would be if we knew when we were hitting keys/buttons. |

Whoops. Sorry guys. I didn't notice that this was for suggestions for this _community_ - when I read the first post, I thought that LGPP meant "suggestions for LG". Ops - please feel free to remove my previous post. (Or just point fingers and laugh. |
