I bought my LG ally two weeks ago.  I walked in as a former Alltel customer and it was time for my new phone upgrade.  My specifications were I needed a full key pad, big screen, text, call and take pics.  I was directed to this phone.  I signed up- upgraded to the 29.99 extra per month and left.  Now, I can't believe I did that.  I don't want a phone with this many features.  It keeps freezing up and rebooting ALL day long.  I need my phone to be working at all times.  My job depends on it for emergencies.  I have never been unhappy with a phone, so I threw away the box and the packaging.  I only have the protectors, battery and phone.  I just don't know what to do.  I have taken it in to the verizon store that I purchased it in, but the tech guy didn't believe me.  I live in a rural GA city, but my last LG phone had no problems with picking up signal or anything.  It was the phone that looked like the old ipods.  I just want a basic phone but can't return this one because I don't have the packaging.  HELP!

I really apologize for what is happening.  We are aware of some issues with the Ally Rebooting and we are working very hard to resolve those.  But if you are in need of replacing the phone then I would call Verizon Support, if your local dealer can't help, Verizon has there "30 day Worry Free Exchange" Policy and I think they can help eventhough you don't have the Packeging any longer...I wish I could help you out right now, but it will be a little bit before we get the update to resolve your issue.

The Ally is a great phone (When it's not Rebooting) but it's a "SmartPhone" and has lots of features that not everyone needs...  The Sales Person shouold have better qualified you and not put you into something with more features than you need/want....

Again I apologize, we are working to resolve this problem quickly.  If you need to exchange I understand...

I am also having a ton of problems, and am very disappointed in my Ally. Besides all the operating problems (very very slow, phone shuts off while using gps, wait or forces close ALL THE TIME, response time is horrible, videos look horrible), the reception is garbarge. Since this was the only android phone the store had in stock when I went to upgrade my alltel blackberry, the salesman drastically oversold the phone. I have other LG products for my home, so I went ahead and got 2 of them. Now I heard it from my wife everyday about how much the phone is a piece of crap. Ofcourse Verizion won't do anything even though I pay them close to 200.00 per month for 2 phones.
