I am still within my 30 day window and am contemplating giving back the Ally. I can't say I'm really having any issues with it fortunately, but I am not enjoying the somewhat "bulkiness" of it. I am considering the Env3 instead which has all the same capabilities I really use the phone for-calls, texts, email and occasional internet. I don't NEED an android phone. I find I don't really use the apps much. They are novelty that I use a few times, and then the interest fades quickly. I wonder if anyone has had the Env3 to hear whether it is a good phone or not? I've read many reviews of it and the biggest thing I see is people say it "shuts off randomly". But on the same note, people have voiced many issues with the Ally and I have yet to really have a problem with it. Is it worth the switch? Any input would be helpful.

I'm sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the Ally. I personally have used the enV3 and recently got the Ally to try out.

Honestly, if you are not enjoying the bulkiness then the enV3 is not the answer. The dimensions (length x width x depth) of the Ally is 4.56 x 2.22 x .62 inches and the enV3 is 4.11 x 2.13 x .65 inches according to phonearena.com.

Personally, I love the Ally! I haven't used too many of the apps yet, I am not that big into them. What I do love about the Ally though is the speech to text which has been awesome to use. The internet is considerably faster than it is on the enV3. And I can use the Wi-Fi settings on the phone to browse the internet at home while my wife is using our laptop.

I was really nervous about getting a smartphone because I thought it would be too complicated and what I have learned is that an Android phone can be as complicated as you want it. I use it pretty basic, like you and love the differences and how they benefit me.

My opinion is to stick with the Ally and use it how you want to and if you decide to start using a few more features here and there then you have the option. If you go to the enV3, you won't have those options.

I understand your concerns and frustrations about the ally.  However, I have heard there should be an update that should fix a lot of the Ally's problems.  Hopefully your will get the update soon so you can get the most out of your phone.
