Recently got a VU phone and could only get the phone to conference call (hook two calls together) one time. Since then, all other attempts have failed giving me a "Members Join Failure" message. I've exhausted all help from AT&T and LG tech support lines, and have even replaced the phone with a new VU and new sim card-- still getting that error message and cannot connect the calls together. Does anyone have information, history, or recommendations??? Is there anyone with a VU that can tell me they have no problems?? AT&T have triple checked everthing on their side... Do I try a third (3rd) phone?? HELP!

Thanks, MP

Dial the 1st party as normal.
After being connected (that is actually talking) with party 1, press the unlock button on touch screen and then press the send key.
Next, bring up the keypad and dial the second partys number and press the send key again.
After connected to the second party (actually talking with), press the unlock button and then press options.
You should then be able to conference the calls together with the conference call feature.
There will be a 3-5 second delay before all 3 parties are connected.

Before supplying this answer, I've tested the conference call ability on my CU920/Vu. I tried it multiple times using multiple phone numbers and various numbers of connections above 2 and under 4. I encountered only one problem. If I did not click options and join the originating call within 2 - 5 minutes the originating call was dropped. The GUI showed the originating call on the display leading me/anyone to believe the call was still "held". I can only assume your problems may have been under the same condition. For example, when I originated a call, waited for it to connect, pressed options, pressed hold call, pressed keypad, dialed number, waited for the 2nd call to connect, pressed options, pressed conference call, and then pressed join call, it worked every single time without fail.
