Hi, I just got Env3 from a friend. I activated and everything is working except the Backup Assistant not able to restore contact, after few days of trying I decided to have my son manually enter phone # and save each one. However, when it come to press "Save" button, it will not do anything..The "Save" button is the same as "OK" key, but the 'OK' key function is working fine on both inside and out side but when use as "Save" for contact it will not do anything. I have tried to clear and reset to manufacture default and still does not work. Does anyone have any idea and help me out? Also do I still have warranty on it? Warranty code is 12/01/2009. If it last resort can I get replacement from LG even though I got it from friend with no receipt? Thank you very much ahead of time for any help!

Are you getting errors with Backup Assistant when you restore? I've had some issue with it and had to re-enter my PIN. Backup Assistant would really be the easiest way to get your contacts back. Have you tried creating a test contact with just a name and bogus phone number to see if it will save? I've never seen where the OK button will work in one situation but then not in another. It leads me to think there is a software issue some place. I know you have reset the phone to Factory defaults, but another "Old Trick" we can try is to Pull the battery out while the POWER is ON... Not Charging but turned on. Leave the battery out for about a minute, then replace it and power back up... Doing this causes all of the temporary memory to be lost and the phone has to update the settings (Nothing will be lost) Now Try the "Ok" button on a Contact you are trying to save to see if it works..

The enV3 has a 1 Year Manufacturers Warranty, so yes you should be able to get it repaired / replaced through LG. I've never been asked for a receipt, they go by the MEID and or Warranty ID. Is it the "OK" key that is not working when you save a Contact on the phone?

Sorry if I misunderstood you... Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply, the 'OK' button work when you unlock to use the phone, the 'OK' button also work when scroll through the menu and hit 'OK' to select certain function but when it come to say 'Save' the 'OK' button will not save contact. I also try to to put in bogus phone # then enter 'test' as name, it won't 'Save' . I am pretty sure the 'OK' button work physically because it work for other function but it will not work when it come to 'Save' contact. I also think it somehow related to software but don't know how to check, software version is VX92V06, hardware is 1.1. Do you know manufacture # that I can call for support and may be get a warranty replacement if I can not get it resolve? I am pretty good in search but seem not to able to google the phone # for LG. Thanks
