I didn't drop it or anything, It was working fine as of last night and when I turned my phone on this morning there's just a black line running through the screen the whole time, when i'm texting, looking at phone settings. Tried rebooting the phone, it's still there. When I take pictures the black line doesn't show up on the picture itself when I send it to my computer, but it's there on the camera.

Also the water damage sticker on the back is white with red x's, does this indicate water damage? My phone has never been near water and I don't take it out when it rains.

That alone indicates that it has been exposed to moisture , maybe sweat from carrying it in your pocket? If you can do without it for a couple days Google for info on wet cell phones , one trick was to ALWAYS take the battery out , then place phone in a sock , and place that in a bag of uncooked rice , theory behind that is the rice is supposed to absorb all the moisture from the inside of the phone , There's plenty other home remedies unless you have Insurance on it ?

If the Sticker is White with Red (Pink) X's on it that means it's okay... The Sticker would be a bright color if it had gotten into any moisture... I carry my phones in my Pockets all the time and I have never had a problem with perspiration.

The "Black Line" sounds like a Bad Display... If pulling the battery out with the power turned ON, to doesn't help, then It will need to be looked at. How old is the phone? If it's under 30 days your local Verizon Dealer might swap it out for you. If not, you will need to go through Verizon Support or LG's Support to get it fixed. Verizon can be reached at #611 from your Chocolate Touch. LG's Support is: (800) 793-8896

Let me know what you find out.

I've also seen stickers that were bright orange and then turned Red when they got wet... The Orange stickers really caused a lot of concern. :-)

Maybe not, but you could have damaged (cracked) the display screen.

After a few weeks from buying my phone, about 20% of my screen has a series of thin horizontal black lines. A Verizon technician said the screen was cracked therefore it's not covered under the LG 1 yr. warranty. I suspect that any slight bump against a solid object will crack the screen.

I didn't get any insurance as that's a ripoff. $5/mo. and $50 or $90 deductible. Phones are replaced with reconditioned phones that likely will also have problems. The insurance can only be used 2 times per year.

If you have the horizontal lines running thru your display then it is most likely a damaged or bad screen. You can call LG support (800) 793-8896 to see if they will help...

I know the insurance is expensive but, for me, it's better than paying full retail for a replacement.
