Since the Canadian LG site sucks, I thought I'd start here. The problem is that when I receive a text message the phone shuts off.

Any thoughts????

You probably just have a defective unit get it replaced.

So nobody else has this problem... Mr. LGPro any comments/ideas here!!!

I have the same problem. When i receive a text or am in the middle of writing one the phone will restart itself. VERY annoying problem. the bell technician suggested to do a firmware update but the update keeps on failing. he tried different things but nothing worked..basically the phone is useless and needs to be replaced. bell won't do a thing for me and its just out of warranty.
