Is there a way to use custom text message tones? Text, not ring!

There seem to be about 10, and that's it.

I can't find any software that will let you do it on the GMA phones.

Help please.

Yes, but the need to be in your Phones internal memory and can't be larger than 300KB and under 30 seconds in length. If they are on a MicroSD card copy them to the Xenon's internal memory and then go to settings>> Sound>> Alert Sounds>> and you should see them. Let me know if this doesn't work.

I put 2 on my card, and they show as available for ring tones.

They do not show as options for text message alerts though.

How would I copy from SD to internal memory?

And, I've just given up on getting the phone to stay sync'd to my Garmin Nuvi 760. This GPS did work with my Sony Ericsson. It reads text messages to me as well.

Any ideas as to how I would troubleshoot that? I've read a lot on the garmin site about letting the phone find the gps, resetting the bluetooth on the gps, etc., etc. No joy at all.

They find each other, sync, and then disconnect about 5-10 seconds in.

You can set an alert tone to one that's on your MicroSD card by going to the Menu>> Settings>> Sound>> Message Tones>> Sounds>> and select the tone you want to use for your Messages. If they don't show up make sure they are less than 300KB in file size and less than 30 Secs. This is an AT&T limitation. To copy a Ringtone/Alert tone to the Phone from the MicroSD, click on the "My Stuff" tab>> More>> Memory Card>> "My Audios" and you should see them. Next click on the menu in the upper right corner and select "Copy To" Them "Phone" and last of all put a check mark next to each one you want to copy and click on the copy button.

As for the Garmin GPS, I'm not sure what to suggest. I have heard of other problems and I have reported them, but I don't have one to test to see if there is a work around.
