Hi all. Haven't been here in a while; I sort of lost the page and could not find it again.

Does anyone have problems with phone contacts on the LG BL40? I have my boyfriends name and number saved and the phone usually brings up his picture and name. It also brings up his name when he texts me.

Last night my phone began to act up and now only displays his number, not his name. He is in my contacts, no problem but when I phone him only his number appears, no photo or anything. His number is used both ways in the phone, as 077 and +4477 and the +4477 version is the one that comes up on text.

I have tried to save this number under his name, even tried deleting the contact and then adding it again. No luck thus far.

Its only one contact so far... does anyone have any idea whats happening and how I can rectify it? Should I try and update the software?

It does sound like something has happened to this one contact... How about if you leave that contact alone but change the number, temporarily, by 1 didget. Thencreate another contact with a Fictitious name but using his number. Try that to see if it works....

I don't have a BL40 to test, but try these steps:

* With the power on Pull the battery out (Don't have the phone charging) for about a minute and then power the phone back up. This does a soft reset and usually clears up any little oddities.

* usually on LG phones under Settings then Security, there is an option to Reset the phone... Check your manual but this shouldn't disturb your data, just reset the temporary memory... Be careful, if there is a Restore item in the menu, that WILL erase your phone. You might call LG Support if the problem persists.... But let me know what happens.
