Hi, I recently moved from the Cosmos to the Extravert. With the Cosmos, I was using a Micro SD card to store all my pictures and sound files. I moved the card from the Cosmos to the Extravert and none of my files are being recognized. If I save new pictures to the Micro SD card, those are recognized, but not anything that already exists on the card. How do I get the Extravert to recognize all the files already on my Micro SD card? Thanks. |

I just got my Extravert phone yesterday too, the guy at verizon tried to transfer my pictures for me, he was able to copy the contact list, but when it came to the pictures the phone kept freezing. He told me I should reformat the sd micro memory card, I tried that, it didn't do anything. Every time I try to turn on my camera, access pictures, video's ringtones anything having to do with media the phone will just freeze and then restart. I have tried clearing everything off of the phone, and it did the same thing when I had to re regester my phone I had to calibrate the touch screen yet still when I try to access the pictures or anything it will not load. Is it because the incorrect file type (pictures) transfered can not be deleted and error if not why does it freeze?? |

I figured it out. The Cosmos was saving them in folders like "my_pix" and "my_sounds," whereas the Extravert saves them in folders like "Photos" and "Sounds." So I just needed to rename the folders. Easy fix. |

The folder names changed from what was on the Cosmos to different names on the new phones like the Extravert. All of your files will need to be in the Corisponding folders. Below is a graphic showing the new names, simply move your files to the new folders and they should show up as soon as you disconnect the phone from the USB Cable.

Hum, what's the capacity of the SD card you are using? What type of files are you trying to use? Do you have a Card reader for your PC? If so I would pull the card from the phone and using the card reader Backup your files and then format it on the PC. Make sure you use the "FAT32" option. Once it's done it should be blank. Try copying files from your PC to the card to see if this works.. If the card seems to work in the PC Card reader, then put it back in the phone. When you place it in the phone, the needed folders will be created by the phone. Now you can use the USB cable to hook it up to your PC and put the files where they need to be. If all of this doesn't work, then I would try a different SD Card. If you are still having issues, then I would say it's a problem with your Phone's SD Slot. |
