Here is a rather lengthy guide that MIGHT help resolve the Corp Calendar Sync issues.
This first option should work as I can access the Corporate calendar now.
If the exchange email and contacts synced up right away but getting the "authentication error" as well on the corporate calendar. First option:
I removed my account and set it up again. Sometimes it take 24 hours after that to see a corporate calendar reminder on top bar! (MOST OF THE TIMES WORKS FINE)
Second option: 1. Go to the marketplace and download the free version of Touchdown. 2. Once it is installed configure it to your server. 3. After it is syncing go to the settings and go down to the folder selection. 4. Remove everything except calendar and tasks. 5. Do a refresh to make sure that the calendar is working. 6. Next go to the email app on the phone (Not Touchdown). 7. Click on the menu button and go to settings. 8. Go down to incoming settings. 9. Make sure that you have DOMAIN\username, password, exchange server, use secure ssl (if needed), do not check the Accept all SSL certs button. 10. Press the home button. 11. Go to settings. 12. Click on Accounts and sync 13. Click on your exchange account. 14. Make sure that corporate calendar is checked. 15. Now go to your corporate calendar. 16. Click the menu button and do a refresh. 17. Your calendar should now work. 18. Now you can click home. 19. Go to settings 20. Applications 21. Manage Applications 22. Select Touchdown and Un-install.
Please remember these options woks if Exchange server has setup correctly.
Confirm with your IT dept that Security policies (PIN requirement, remote wipe) are not being enforced on your account. In the Domain\Username setting try entering your username only without the domain (\myusername). Try using variations on your Exchange Server address like mail.myserver.com or myserver.com. Never use the HTTP or https in the address. Try connecting with and without the SSL options checked. Delete the corporate account on your device and re-add it.
Please have customer to search on the internet and there are websites that can allow you to enter your corporate exchange settings (Same setting in the phone) and allow you to check if your settings are correct or not. If those online exchange server setup does not pull the data correctly that means the corporate exchange server is not setup correctly and they need to talk with their IT department.

I believe that is an issue with Android 2.1. The Security policies will be updated and enhanced in Android 2.2 to better meet IT Security Needs. |
