For my job we use MicroSoft Outlook and we are not given an option to "leave a copy of the email on the server" as a result when I delete an email from my phone it also deletes it from my laptop.

Has anyone been able to find and app that allows a copy of the email to remain in the acutal email box on the computer?

I found one called "maildroid" but it kept going back and getting all my old mail and pushing it through as "new mail".

I also tried K9 but I couldn't get that app to recoginze the settings for my Outlook email.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Do you use a Microsoft Exchange Server? We use Outlook here with a Microsoft Exchange server and I have at least two phones plus my Laptop accessing the same account. I don't normally delete Email from my phones and I set the Ally to only sync a weeks worth of mail so I'm not overwhelmed by email... I need to keep records so I manage my email from the Laptop and Archive, or deleting it as I need to...

Is this what ou are trying to do?

along the same lines do you know why is it when you delete emails from deleted folder on exchange they don't also delete from deleted folder on ally?

i had that problem. go to your email, hit notifications button, acct settings, go to server settings, look for incoming settings, go down to delete mail from server, touch, at this point make sure it says "never" not "when i delete from inbox". touch next and it will set. i was wondering why when i deleted my email off the phone it was also deleting it off my laptop, this was the problem. try it.

Thanks for the reply.  However, when i go to server setting i have user name password and name of server with a next button at bottom can't see button for delete mail from server.  when i press next it takes me back to general settings?
