I have the Blue enV3 and so far it's been great! I was just curious about the colors and if the problems seemed to occur on one more than the other.

I have an LG Versa, so does my son. My wife has an ENV3. The Versa's both reboot randomly, sometimes while you're on a call. Mine will reboot 4 or 5 times a day while it is setting on my desk at work. I know because it vibrates, I think I have a call or text and look up to see the Verizon Logo. The ENV3 is worse though. It just shuts off and she doesn't know it. I text her no response, call her and get voicemail. Couple hours later she calls and says I just found it off in my purse.

I too have had my last LG phone. I don't mind the problems if they fix them but we've been waiting MONTHS for fixes and nothing. I've discussed it on all the boards including here, Howard Forums and the Versa discussion board. They seem fairly common to me from what I've seen.

They sent my fiance' a refurbished phone and it didn't do any good. Still shuts off. She's disgusted but just started a new contract last fall. I'm disgusted and I have a year to go.

My son lost his Versa last night so if they don't find it at the restaurant today I guess we'll find out if his insurance replacement reboots too.

I have my keyboard on most of the time. He doesn't use his much and he just recently started having the reboot issues. I honestly think it might only reboot when the keyboard is on.

But my fingers are too big to text with the virtual keyboard. Heck, I can hardly dial right when not using the phone book. Yes I have the screen calibrated, that part of it is just me, nothing wrong with the phone....LOL

Disappointing but I do appreciate the feed back. I have passed your comments on up to Product Support... Thanks for taking a minute to report your experiences here and good luck on finding your Son''s Phone.

Usually when I am looking for a phone, I look at keypad first to ensure that it won't frustrate me for a long time LOL, and secondly is knowing the pros and cons for each phone. I think that all phones has their cons and its really disappointing but knowing it will enable us to be ready to face the situation in the future.

Ready for a long short story? We purchased 3 LG env3 phones August 2009. By December they were starting to randomly shut off on their own (sitting on a table, in a pocket, in a purse, if the sun was shining, if there was a full moon, you get the picture). By February we've had enough. We take them to the Verizon store. They keep them for 2 hours to do a firmware update. We take them home. Same problem. We go back a week later, they replace the phones. We take them home. Same problem. I take them back to the Verizon store where I waited 45 minutes for someone to take care of me. I couldn't wait any longer and left with a very bad taste in my mouth. When I get home I call the Verizon customer service number. They send me new phones. Same problem. Next weekend I go back to the Verizon store. I ask them to replace the phones with a different model phone. No deal! He says that they were just notified (April 16, 2010) that LG the batteries don't make a proper contact in the phone. He says they will send me new phones with new, better fitting, batteries. Wed. April 21, 2010 the new phones arrive WITHOUT NEW BATTERIES! I call Verizon customer service. She says the store used the wrong item number to order the new phones with the new batteries. She is sending us the new phones with the new batteries, using the correct item number. I ask for overnight delivery. No can do. Two day FedEx. Delivery scheduled for Friday April 24, 2010. Of course they didn't arrive on Friday. I track the delivery on FedEx and it says the scheduled delivery date is Monday April 27, 2010. Signature required of course. WHAT A RUN-AROUND! This is such poor service that I'm notifying my employer (9000 employees in Fort Myers, FL) about this poor service and asking them to notify all employees of this poor service from Verizon. If these phones that are supposed to be here Monday don't work, Verizon better switch us to other phones or we're moving to another provider.

Interesting thing we've noticed. My son's maroon phone rarely shut off, while the two blue phones painfully shut down may times a day.

Did you get your new phones yet? Are they working any better?
