Any one having signal issues? I live about two blocks from the cell tower and loose all 1x and have only EV signal and it says" searching for signal" then it proceeds to run the battery down at an accelerated rate. both my phone and my wife's phone do this. we had moto razrs before and never had this issue with the close proximity to the tower. |

I can't believe no one has had any service issues with this phone. |

I've done both, this is not only my phone, but my wife's phone and the replacement phone when mine bricked on V08. all are running V07 . if you sent the network to "home" instead of "automatic" if does just fine . |

have you tried turning off the eri banner on your phone, it will stop it from searching and that might help it. |

I rarely have issues with signal strength, of course I live in the LA area; however, I recently traveled to Seattle and San Luis Obispo CA ... no issues in these locations either. |

I'm new to these forums, which is why this response is a little late. |

Do you have any indications that you are "Roaming" or utilizing a tower from a different carrier? This could effect your features... This first thing I would try would be to pull the battery out of the phone, with the power on (Not Plugged in charging) Leave the battery out for about a minute and then replace it and power back up. This will clear out all of the temporary Memory information so it has to reacquire it. The phone reloads all of the info about the Cell towers in the area. Are you sure the Tower in your vicinity is a Verizon Tower? Have you checked the Verizon Coverage Map or called Verizon Support to see what kind of coverage they have where you are at? Even with only '1X' coverage you should be able to send large text messages and possibly Pictures... I'm thinking that you might not be able to send Video due to the file size and slow Network connection, but basic features should be okay. |
