That's disappointing... How old are your enV Touches? How many phones are rebooting or powering down? This problem only started after you updated them to Ver 08 or 09? I would contact Verizon Customer Service or LG Support to see if you can get them fixed... I'm not sue if it's just the update or if it's the update with the hardware. LG Suport can be reached at: (800) 793-8896 |

Good Comments, thanks for taking the time to post. Your comments are being passed on to Development and even though I don't have anything tangible to prove it, they are making a difference for our users... We have already had a management shakeup in Quality and improved processes put into place. Plus I am working on the Lack of Communication issue. It won't be fixed over night, but your comments help! I will let you know when I hear about an update for the enV Touch. |

Unfortunately I will be returning our phones, new phones are still shutting off, screens stay black when unlocking them. Have loved LG from the VX7000 to the 8100 to the first chocolate to the Voyager and now... |

I am sure that the most recent firmware updates (version 8 and 9) are the cause of the phone spontaneously shutting down sometimes. The proof I have is very simple. I have 4 siblings who have an enV Touch and I also have one. Whenever a new firmware comes out I take all of |

I have reported your comments to Development and I will create an internal incident report as well. I know this has been happening for awhile, I'm hoping to get a resolution answer soon. |

My enVtouch keeps shutting itself off. It doesnt seem to happen at any time in particular...just random. I find it especially frustrating while on the internet. I have updated with no change in the amount of shut-offs. I am especially annoyed by the problem because it is not a $20 tracphone. I WANT MY MONEYS WORTH ! |

I'm sorry to hear about the Shutdown issues, it is frustrating especially it happens without warning. How long have you had the Touch? Have you tried pulling the Battery and cleaned the Metal contacts on the battery and the inside the phone it's self? Try using a swab or something soft along with a SMALL amount of Alcohol on the swab and rub the contacts to see if there is any dirt or contaminants on them. Have you tried Customer Service? I'd give them a call to see if they know of a solution or can help you out. (800) 793-8896 Let me know what you find out. |

Sadly turning off and rebooting is notorious for this phone. Just look at some of the original reviews for this phone. It was happening even with early software updates and not just the later ones. It is nice that you are trying to help, but I'm sure you, LG, and Verizon are well aware of the problems for this phone. However, users have been complaining ever since this phone was released (again read some of the original reviews) if you don't believe me. It's either a software issue, a hardware issue, or both trying to work together that is the real problem, but no one will admit to this. |

Yes, and I apologize for the issues you are seeing... I haven't forgotten and I'm trying to get an update as to what can be done. The good news is that Communication is gettng better and at least I now meet weekly with those who can effect change... I love the enV Touch and I hate to see the problems that have been reported.... I still owe a couple other Forum users an answer, so let me see what I can do. |

I got my enV touch almost a year ago, and it worked completely fine until about a month or so ago. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, it turns off whenever it wants to. Just a few minutes ago I was typing a text, and it just went black. It turned itself off. It also turns off by itself when I'm not even doing anything. It'll just be sitting on the counter and the next time I go to look at it, it's turned off, with a full battery. |

Sorry about the trouble... I'd recommend that you contact LG or Verizon Support before your year is up... LG can be reached at (800)793-8896 and Verizon #611 from your phone... Good Luck |

This phone has been having issues with rebooting/turning off since software version 3. If you think a new software version (in this case 10) will help, I wouldn't count on it. I do think they will come out with a few more updates here and there (the Voyager got 14 I believe), but the major issues will probably not be fixed. Instead they will add a few new features here and there and hope for the best. |

I think the enV3 and enVTouch use some of the same software and coding which is why we see random rebooting/shut offs with these phones. Trust me we will just have to learn to deal with it as LG will probably not invest the time, resources, and money to go through the lines of code to fix the problems. |

The enV3 Power issue was due to the Battery not fitting properly... Verizon is taking care of those... The enV Touch looks to be a software issue, and there is an update coming to resolve it. I have kept quiet because I still don't have a time frame for when it will be released... But I am watching the status closely. As soon as I hear anything I'll let you know. |

And in your opinion, is this random rebooting/shutting off related to the failure of the enV Touch (at least mine and some others') to properly delete its browser history??? |

Thanks for the update LG! I'm sure there is another software update in the works. Whether or not it fixes the issues that have plagued this phone for so long remains to be seen... |

In my opinion it seems the two could be related... There will be a Patch for the enV Touch and the Ally at some point, that hopefully resolve this for both phones. |
