I don't see the point of having web access on a cell phone that won't allow me to download Flash, when Flash is needed to view many websites. Am I doing something wrong???????? |

If you're trying to download flash 10.1 it won't work on any Android phone that isn't running Version 2.2 of the OS. 2.1 has flash lite built in. |

Thanks---I'm just following the prompts on a site to download, so maybe it is trying to download 10, and I'm pretty sure the Ally has the 2.1. |

Unfortunately Flash 10.x requires Android 2.2 to run. I don't think you will be able to get it to run in Android 2.1. Right now it's not looking good for the Android 2.2 upgrade on the Ally. |

And even IF we get 2.2 the Ally cannot run 10.1 from a hardware standpoint. The ARM11 Processor just doesn't have the correct architecture to do it. Adobe has been saying that since Lg announced that it would be using this particular proc. |

Humm... Still haven't heard the final verdict, but this would appear to be a show stopper. |

Ok, so I got my Ally on 06/27/2010 and was hoping for upgrade to froyo (2.2). I love the phone but if I'm stymied by all things things that I it cannot do then I might have to return it to Verizon and look at my other options. Flash, RAM, CPU and having apps stored and run from the SD card. |

I understand your concerns, and if Android 2.1 isn't meeting your needs then maybe the Ally isn't the answer for you... I'd hate to loose you from the Ally family, Personally I love my Ally.... But it's not looking promising for the FroYo update on the Ally. Let me know what you decide! |

LG ProductPro, thanks for the response it's an incredible phone but I'll be locked into a 2 year contract and would want the phone to grow with me. I'm not too concern with 3.X upgrade(s) but what the 2.2 offers is of great benefit to all users of the Ally. |
