Hi. I just got my Ally last week and it's running V8.

I love this phone, but one of my only gripes is the Vibration mode. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but when I put it into Vibrate mode, the only thing that vibrates is phone calls. My email, notifications, and messages do not vibrate when they come in. Also, my alarm goes off with sound every morning. This is really frustrating, because it's a reminder to take my pills at work and I cannot have it loudly ringing.

Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. Or if there's a way to rectify this situation. It would be really annoying if there was no way to Vibrate all functions with one setting change.

Thanks!

There doesn't seem to be a way to globally change all of the sound/vibrate settings. There are settings for the Phone, Notifications, and Alerts. and they can be adjusted in different places. Your probably not doing anything wrong, but check these settings.

* When setting an Alarm go to settings and turn off "Alarm in Silent Mode"

* Under Sound and Display besides the "Silent Mode" being turned on, make there is a check mark next to "Vibrate Phone"

There are some Apps in the Android Market that try and combine and allow additional functionality to alert tones, and I am stearing away from recommending them but I would try them to see if they help or make things worse... Uninstall if they don't help. Android 2.1 seems to have some sound issues, but I'm still looking into a solution.
