Does anyone know if the V8 release that was pushed OTA recently is supposed to resolve the "Cell Standy | Time without a signal >= 50%" bug? |

I thought I read that the Cell Standby Battery issue was a Android 2.1 issue and would only be fixed if we got 2.2. Don't believe it will be fixed on LG's end. |

That's unfortunate. Back to hoping that 2.2 makes it to the Ally... |

Let me see if this is something that can be addressed with LG updates for 2.1 or whether indeed it needs Android 2.2 |

That would be great. I'm in my home office now. Just had the v8 software update pushed to my phone this AM. For some crazy reason, I'm experiencing a 70% time without signal where I normally have no issues! 1hr 58m since I rebooted the phone after the update. Warren |

I'm looking into what it's actually telling us and if it is indeed a "No Signal" issue whether it was supposed to be addressed. |

Thanks LG Product Pro! My time without signal had been at 50-51% all day yesterday in my office which has excellent coverage. I'm on V8, which was pushed OTA yesterday morning. I used the airplane mode method and time without signal today is 0%. I can't say for certain; but it appears that as time without signal approaches 0%, battery life increases. It appears that it is more than a display error. |

It is a bug in 2.1, that is one of the reasons Lg desperately needs to make 2.2 a priority. |

I agree. Quite frankly, I don't care if I get 2.2 for my Ally or if Google backports the bugfixes in to the 2.1 release train and LG releases based on that. As one who likes shiny and new things, I'd love to see 2.2 on my Ally. However as one who needs a certain level of productivity, I'd be content with a solid bugfix release. |

So far this AM, I'm looking at 4 1/2 hours and 54% time without signal. I'm showing 3 bars on indicator and 3G available. Visited Android Market and have sent/received a few texts. I haven't had issues with phone calls at my location. |
