I just bought an Ally and am having a simple issue: Cover art stored as AlbumArt.jpg and/or albumart.jpg is not showing up in the stock media player. I created an SD card image and ran it through an Android 2.1 emulator and it showed up. I did a direct image dump of this card onto a physical SD card and the phone wouldn't display the cover art. This leads me to believe that there is a bug in the software.

If that's the case, I would really like for LG to address this in their (possibly fictitious) 2.2 upgrade.

I have passed you concerns on to Development. There will be an LG Update that will be available shortly. I don't have a tentative release schedule. But it is in testing.

Your right, an Android 2.2 upgrade is looking less and less likely to happen... Still can't get the official decision, I'll pass the news on as soon as I hear.

Pro, did you even pay attention to the updates in the 2.2 thread? It's no definite 'proof', but it's looking MORE likely since the CS response I received.

Yeah I just responded.... My hopes are that they know more than I do but I'm sure they don't... Thanks to this report, I spoke with the Sr. Marketing Specialist, Advanced Devices and he said that he had told Customer Service the status but that he would call them again.

I'm really sorry to get everyone's hopes up... I'll let everyone know when I know.

Thanks for passing the concern on. Today's firmware update did not fix the issue. I cleared out the SD card's system folders.
