Love the Ux260. Being a computer geek i have some issues with the music player i hope there are patches/updates for, and perhaps my suggestions may encourage such things...
allow me to prefeace this with that i use the MicroSD card and have about 8GB of music in the fhone, so it is hard to find stuff quickly...
Sort by Filename: as default setting, for the love of Allah, how else would i want them sorted? (all categories, not just 'All Songs') Anyone care to tell me just how it is you have them sorted? b/c it sure ain't by name, and not date/modified/created, and it seems to change every time you reload the MicorSd card. i am an Album kind of guy and i like the songs in order, please. just a nagging addition to have to open the album then click, 'Sort/'By Filename' every time.
Search function (just like in the address book) Press 'n' to jump to the N's.
Further category breakdown. Artists -> Albums. Genre -> Artists -> Albums. As opposed to clicking the 'Black Metal' Genre and have 170+ songs to sort thru. Genre: Black Metal -> Artist: Emperor - > Album: Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk. Having the simple categories is fine when you have ~50 songs on your built-in memory, but a whole other thing with 8GB!
Multi-Task-Ability: Would like to be able to text without stopping my music. Maybe search for what i want to play next without (again) having to stop the music, press the down button 62 times to get to what i want to play it.
Album Art: in the background while playing song. just a thought...
Now, Questions:
when i fully load the 8GB MicroSD, the fhone acknowledges the card's capacity, but, it seems as if only most of my music shows up in the player. (all files are properly formatted, named, .mp3 and such, not an eediot) Am i perhaps with too much music for the built-in memory allocation for the file information? (will sometimes even cut off an album with only a few tracks of its total).
why'd you have to go and come up with another USB plug-style? what was wrong with any of the other 6 or so? the one thing that really irks me with fhone companies is that i have to buy new accessories every dang time i get a new fhone. (BTW, it is never your branded accessories i buy. i get the no-namebrand stuff for about 1/4 your asking price at the discount fhone-accessory pavilion around the corner, or from the web)
not too snarky of a post?

Im pretty sure the ux260 only supports 4gb. Mine worked like a charm until it decided to stop charging altogether. |
