Hello all,

Bought the LG Rhythm to be the perfect mobile-phone/mp3-player solution... love it!

Only problem is I can not figure out how to organize the mp3's!!!
I've tried everything: Editing the TAGS around, different folder combinations, everything! I'm pretty web/music/mp3 savvy but I can't figure this out.
Yes, I have searched the forums before posting this.

Problem: When viewing my songs either in the 'Artists' menu or the 'Albums' menu I see multiple entries of everything accept the first entry listed!!!
Example from 'Artists' menu:
-----------------
Artist1 (8)
Artist2 (6)
Artist2 (1)
Artist2 (1)
Artist2 (1)
Artist2 (1)
Artist2 (1)
Artist3 (2)
Artist3 (1)
Artist4 (5)
Artist4 (1)
Artist4 (1)
Artist4 (1)
Artist4 (1)
-----------------

I have a huge collection of music on my LG Rhythm and this has been such a problem for me that I have stopped using it as an mp3 player all together... which breaks my heart because I love it so much!!!

Please Help! Thank you very much.

I'm having the same issue with mine along with a couple others. There are some album covers that transfer from Media Player, some don't. Also, most of the songs/albums will copy over just fine, but there are a few that will copy only the name of the song, and not the artist or album name, even after multiple attempts. It's odd because it's only a couple of albums, but it's the ENTIRE album, but the album cover image will copy. I'm not sure if this is a PC issue or a phone issue.

UPDATE:

I called LG Customer Service...
They recommended that I have the phone's software reloaded at a US Cellular.
Even though my software version was the most up-to-date (T58UCV04) I had my US Cellular technician reload the software.
I did not help.

I called LG Customer Service a second time...
They suggested that it may have something to do with the way I am copying music to the SD Card?
They recommended copying one song at a time... and if that didn't help that I should call back and I will have to send my phone in.
I did try the 'one song at a time' and it did not help either.

I am going to 'fiddle' with it until I can make it work... Copying music in various ways... Hoping something works.
*sigh*

Maybe it's time to finally switch to T-Mobile and get that G1 Google phone I've been wanting to try. :-/

So far this is one of my pet peeves about the phone. I've even tried to create tags with different software other than Media Monkey, which is what I usually use. Does anyone know if the V5.0 update fixes this problem?

If I'm reading my version number correctly (T58UCV06), it looks like ver. 6 and I'm still experiencing this issue. Something else that's happening, it will put some songs (around 55 out of 7.5GB) in a folder called "NONE" where it will only have the song title and the cover art. The artist and album are "N/A". I look at those files in Media Player, check the tag information to be sure it's all there and still, when I transfer them to the phone, they get dumped into a "NONE" folder. And always the same ones, an entire album in particular. Anyone else?

How many songs do you have on your MicroSD Card? I've seen an issue on a phone that had over 2,000 songs on the card.
