I got my phone wet and I've got it in a container of rice to dry for a few days. In the meantime I checked the battery compartment for the water indicator strip to see if it was red. I've never looked for this on any phone before, so I'm not sure where it is. Is it the white strip in the bottom right corner because mine is still completely white. I don't see one on the battery itself or anywhere else in that compartment. Are there other indicators inside the phone? I haven't checked to see if it will work yet, but I guess if that is the strip and it's white maybe that means the water didn't get to it enough to hurt it? Thanks.

There isn't a Moisture indicator on the Lotus Battery from what I can tell... Most of the phones I have seen have the Indicator in a pretty visible location, but I can't locate it on the Lotus. I know the Lotus Elite has it on the circuit board but you can still peek at it under the battery compartment. The bottom panel, that the battery sits on, might have to be pulled to see the indicator.

Did you mention whether you have the LX600 or LX610, the Lotus or Lotus Elite. The Elite has a Moisture sensor on the Battery as well so it's easy to check for the presents of water.

I would try something like a Hair Drier on LOW settings to try an evaporate the Moisture that might be in the phone. Also setting the bowl it's in, in a warm place with a breeze to help dry the phone... Don't get it too warm.

Let me know if you have any success.

I have the regular Lotus. I dried it in the sun and in a bowl of rice, but it still won't work. Also, I forgot to mention that it was salt water the phone fell in and I didn't know about cleaning it in distilled water to clean the salt out until it was too late. It's been 4 days since it got wet, can I still clean the salt out or is it beyond repair? Also, will they know it got wet if I bring it to Sprint?

Salt water??? Ouch! Well the damage is probably pretty extensive and the corrosive nature of the salt water will continue to be an issue... Yes I'm afraid that the service center will know that moisture has gotten inside the phone... You can take it into a Sprint location and see if they can tell. If so maybe they can offer some suggestions to help. If they don't repair it, and it's not under warranty, then maybe it's time to open it up and clean it out properly and see if you can breath any life back into it. But this would be your last hope and doubtful it will help, but could be tried.
