Is there any way to sync the Sprint LG Rumor Touch with my Outlook calendar and contacts? |

The Current version of the LG Sync utility only supports a handful of Verizon handsets... Why? I don't officially know, other than not wanting to compete with the carriers like Sprint. I'm like you, I hope that future updates will increase the range of compatibility. My favorite 3rd party Sync utility is "SyncCell" www.synccell.com/ |

Thanks for the information. Let me know if you hear anything back from SyncCell. |

The Demo they have is fully functional and it really is a sweet application. Unfortunately I've tried it and it doesn't work. It does recognize the phone, but trying any of the Transfer options fails... I'll let you know if I make any headway! |

Has anyone used the Data Pilot software with the LG Rumor yet? It looks like it supports Rumor/PC sync for basic functions (calendar, contacts, pictures...). Does it work well? |

Looking at the DataPilot specs, for the Rumor Touch, they claim compatibility with reading and writing the address book, but it doesn't look like they support the Calendar sync. It also looks like it will read photos from your phone, but you can't write them back to the phone. |

Yes, I have used Data Pilot and it will read/write contacts and read photos and movies. It does work with my Rumor Touch LN510. |

Looks like DataPilot only really supports Contact sync. GoogleSync does the same thing with Gmail and it's free, so if you didn't want to spend the money on DataPilot you could sync with Gmail then to your Rumor Touch. It's more complicated but free is free.
Hopefully DataPilot would eventually sync email, calendar and contacts in the future. |
