When I posted that mid files were supported audio files I meant to be played through the media player not as ringtones. I do not know what format the stock ringtones are and I advise against manipulating the internal files and folders within the phone especially if you're unfamiliar with the file system. Please be cautious as any damage you may cause to your phone by manipulating the file system will void any warranty. |

Thanks for the speedy reply and help.
Far as i know the lx-160 doesn't support mutimedia player.
there is however a directory for my content. with sub directory for pics and ringtones. I can access that directory and both up load and delete files there. my problemis the firmware in the phone doesnt recognize the files that have been uploaded. that is not mp3 or mid files. when i go to sounds and add ringtones through my content nothing shows in my content. even though i have uploaded file there.
i know not to manipulate the files that are in the proprietary directory so i dont create a doorstop or brick.
since there is directory for pics and ringtones must be some format that would be recognized i guess but maybe not.
any ideas or should i just punt
thanks

I did a bit more research and you are indeed correct, the LX 160 does not support a media player. I, unfortunately, do not have a better answer for you as I do not have any knowledge of the phone's directories and as I mentioned before, I do not know what format the stock ringtones are in. I'm sorry! |
