I've had my purple Lotus for 6 months now & love it, especially since it hasn't gotten faster with the last update. My problem began this morning: it was fine one minute, the next it would only display the LG Lotus name & logo. It won't turn off without removing the battery. I took it to a Sprint store & the guy said it is fried. He told me LG would replace it under their one yr warranty (6 mo old). Has this happened to anyone else? |

First of all sorry about your phone, second I am interested in hearing more about your situation. Did the phone get wet at all? Have you used any third party software? |

Never been wet. It was sitting in the holder on my kitchen counter. No third party software - I'm not that sophisticated, wouldn't have a clue. I'm a 50-something Grandma who babies this phone! |

I love the Lotus too. Every once in a while a phone will just become defective. Did you already get it swapped out? |

No, the guy at the Sprint store said I had to take it to one of their other stores, about 45min away from here. I had another appointment in the opposite direction & couldn't get there today. He also said LG would replace it, I'm just trying to find out if that's true, kinda have my doubts. This is so strange, I keep hoping it will magically come back to life, I can't imagine what could have caused this...?? |

Sprint should swap the phone for you at the store. |

LG replaced the phone, free of charge. I just had to go back the next day to pick up the new one. I'm very pleased & will continue to buy LG products whenever I can. |

Were you able to recover any of your contacts, pictures etc? I have the same problem. Just started this morning. The store doesn't open yet. I am going to be very upset if I've lost everything. Did they say what caused the problem? |

When you take it into the store see if there is anything they can do to read the data on that phone before just replacing it... I'm afraid that's the last hope... |
