LG

So I bought my phone 2 weeks ago and only about a week after I got it I was already experiencing problems and I noticed a lot of other people were having issues too. For 2 straight days I couldn't send out messages but now it's working fine. Also, Sprint told me that LG is working on an update but this phone has been out for months so either they are lieing or LG is not working quick enough. Has anyone else heard about this update?

There was an update to Ver 8 a few weeks ago. I can check to see if there is anything coming up in the near future... When the updates are available they are sent directly to the phones through Sprint's network...

Is your Txting working now, or are you still experiencing delays?

Did the Sprint Tech indicate what Issues LG was supposed to be addressing?

Let me see what I can find out on this end.

Well, my texting is working now but I'm not doubting that it will stop working again sometime in the future.

i've actually been having the same problem since yesterday, all my update texts from facebook are being delayed hours late. and my friends and boyfriend have been texting me all day an my texts are coming in or out. i can make a call but they dnt receive it, it just keeps ringing. help?

So your Txt messages Sent/Recieved are delayed?  and You are also seeing problems making calls?  Yo mentioned that the problems started about the 19th of Sept??  Have the problems been resolved or are you still seeing these problems?  Does this happen in all areas or just in one location. I know that our local network gets bogged down occasionally and it will take several minutes to get a message from one Sprint phone to Another....

If this continues, I would try reseting the phone by pulling the Battery and leaving it out for a few seconds.

It still happens. Have had my phone since about June and it does it at least once a day. It is such an inconvenience but you have to turn the power of and then start it up again and usually it will work, temporarily at least. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the update...  I'm looking into this issue.

My Rumor Touch sometimes tells me sending the text has failed but it really did send. Every time I would hit resend, it would just resend the text but it would say it faiedl again. Example: I could hit resend 5 times and it would send it 5 times but each time it tells me it has failed.  I get complaints from friends saying my phones sends the same text multiple times.  The phone also resets by itself from time to time.

The resetting issue, we're aware of and we're looking into a solution... 

The Error messages you are seeing is new to me...  Does this happen on all out going Txt message?  Are these messages sent people on other carriers, or just Sprint?

One thing I would try would be to contact Sprint Support to see if they can verify that all of the messaging settings in your phone are okay...  They should be able to resend that information to your phone, as well, to see if that will clear this up. 

You have tried pulling the battery for a minute or so and then powering back up?

I'll let everyone know know when I hear anything about an update for the Power Cycling.

It doesn't happen to all texts sent and its to other carriers then just Sprint.  I've noticed it happens more when I'm in my house.  It has a low 3G signal usually 1 or 2 bars when I'm inside my house..  Is 2 bars for a 3G signal not strong enough?  I'll get a message saying the network is not responding and then when  I hit resend, it will send out multiple texts.  This only happens when it fails to send and I have to resend.  I'll contact sprint and see if that does anything and I will get back to you.

the sending failed and then sending multiple texts happens to me too, with every message i send. its annoying everone i text, and im probably just going to get e new phone thats not an lg because it happens with them all

I own the same phone and so does my bestfriend, and our phones do the same thing. I update my phone everyday and personally I think it is just the phone...I really wish I had an aswer to how to fix this but I don't:(

After waiting a week to get my phone I finally got it. I picked it up yesterday and today I was having a lot of issues. I am getting that texting error along with an error about how the network is not responding. Cmon LG don't put a product out if you know there are going to be problems with it. I was so excited to finally get texting and now I can't even use it!!!!! When are you going to figure this problem out?! Please do it soon!!

How long have you had the phone and what version of software is it running?
