So my daughter's 2 month old Lotus developed the "screen problem" (inner screen goes black, outer screen sometimes goes black), and we stopped by Sprint today. The guy there said they could replace with a refurb in 2 days, OR we could try LG support and maybe get a new phone. If we got a new phone, we could bring it in and have the stuff transferred, etc. |

I appreciate your feedback and am sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating experience with your daughters Lotus. I have forwarded the issue with your phone so that we can do further research. LG does have a one year warranty on each device sold. In my experience it is much faster to work with your wireless provider with the warranty. |

I got a Lotus 2 months ago, and last night the screen went crazy. Sometimes it goes black, sometimes it is distorted, sometimes it is upside down and sometimes it is like a negative of a photo. I have really liked this phone and Sprint is going to send a replacement, but from what I've been reading, I should expect a refurbished one? That's pretty lame. And it seems that this is an ongoing problem with these phones, will the refubished one do the same thing? Is LG making any effort to fix the screen problem with the Lotus? |

I'm having the same issue with my Lotus. My first one both screens gone black after two months and my second one the same withing three months (both new phones from manufacture not refurbished). I'm going for my third one now. Sprint made you feel like it's not their fault that I chosed a piece of art and it is not working right. I lost my two years upgrade qualification with this Lotus, and can not go to any different phone. I'm stuck to Lotus for the next sixteen months. Through how many more do I need to go through. This is not fun. I'm vry frustrated and upset. Somebody need to be responsible of this cell phone Lotus not working right. I am not the only one, every review in the internet had Lotus users complaning with the same issue. In the ten years that I've been with a cell phone this is the first time I have an issue. Sprint can look at my records and verify this. |

I have heard that this issue has not been reported on a wide basis. Don't worry though I will still look into it. LG's priority is to find issues with this forum. |

I've just started having the same problem with my phone. Disturbing to head I might get phone that has obvious wear and tear. My estimation would be the hinge and the connectors in the hinge are sub-par. Shame, since it's not like flip technology is all that new. |

Lotus worked fine for about 6 or so months and then suddenly broke. It began flashing the Lotus screen and would never turn on all the way. I took it into sprint and they told me it was an LG problem and gave me the number for LG. I called LG and they asked me to send my phone in so they could try and fix it. LG was unable to fix it and sent me a refurbished Lotus. I had to wait about three weeks for this whole process but I happily accepted the refurbished Lotus. I lost all my contacts and everything else I had on the phone. |

My screen started having issues two days ago, and a Google search brought me here. Exactly the same issues that others are having! |

I am having the same issue! My outside screen is black sometimes and works other times. I went to the sprint store and they told me they could not repair it and would replace it with another phone; a refurb! I've only had this phone for 5 months and they're giving me a refurb!! If you purchase anything else in the world, more often than not they will replace it with a new one. While I protested, it was to no avail. So, the supposedly ordered a refurb for me. |

Both screens on my Lotus went out and the Refurbished phone I recieved had scratches on the front screen. I couldnt believe it! I absolutly will not buy another LG product after this. Some warrenty, what a joke, you get a refurb with obvious wear. |

I see many of you are having problems with your Lotus. Two weeks ago I took my Lotus off the charger to find that the outside screen was black. Have been having problems with it charging too. Have to get the connection between the phone and the charging plug-in situated just right for it to work! Anyway I got this phone from Radio Shack...our Sprint kiosk in the Mall was moving and the guy took me up to Radio Shack to get the phone. I have been a Sprint customer for over 5 years. I went to Radio Shack and they told me they don't do any warranty stuff - go to Sprint. I went to our local Sprint store and the guy looked at the phone and said oh you cracked the screen. There is no damage to the outside of the phone but he is showing me a line inside the screen? Anyway he says I have to go to another store, the repair shop.....the guy there says yes I have cracked the screen and because I don't have insurance on it I am stuck with it. The phone is only 7 months old and I can't figure out how it was working when I put it on the charger and went to bed and the next morning the screen is broken from the inside. The repair guy did tell me that it is the #1 reason that he sees the Lotus in his shop! So now what, I think this stinks. I never did get to the charging issue, I guess I will address that next! |

I have 2 of these lg lx600's. My wife has one and I have one. My wifes outside screen cracked from the inside out, within 5 or 6 weeks of purchase. AT that time I though it was very odd, she didnt know what happened to it, she didnt drop it or hit it with a pencil or anything. |

Sprint no help. They claim their data base doesn't show the cracked screen as an issue. It seems to me based on a few internet searches that this is a very common problem as indicated here and all over the internet. |

Ok why does the warranty exist. I have to either be without the phone or pay a "connivance fee" to have sprint check it out for them only to have it sent for a second opinion and pay shipping and handling fee on top of it. Sounds like collusion. I think I may have to ask what the state attorney general thinks... Anyways for other reading the forum. Very similar problem, outside screen suddenly stopped working "always" in the locked position. Except for when a new text is received, but only half the screen changes, showing part of the text. Have to think hard about sprint and LG in the future. Unless I'm mistaken, consumers shouldn't have to worry about buying substandard products, but most companies know the consumer is lazy and won't go through the trouble of the warranty process and would rather buy a replacement item (and if from the same company will the same probability of failing). They must have decent bean counters, because they are tracking just how many problems this phone has and know where the profit point is before the have to recall the product or admit there is a problem. Future customers beware of the LG 610X Lotus cell phone offered through sprint. |
