Have had my phone about 3 months when my mother sent me a text when i went to respond my phone locked up and would not come back on just showed the lg lotus screen took out battery and let sit a minute put battery back in and same thing just showed the lg lotus screen. called sprint they sent me a replacement phone (mind you I purchased a new phone from them its only 3 months old and Im going to get a refurbished phone?) so i received this one yesterday we will see how long it lasts before it goes out. I asked two different people in tech support and customer service and they both told me no one else has reported this problem or had to return the phone. What a lie i cant tell you the amount of forums I have been on showing how many people are having this problem. I think sprint needs to do something about this I too have been customer for over 10 years. By now Lg has to know whats going on this is wrong to treat customers this way. If I bought a new car and it started defecting in 3 months they would not replace my car with a refurbished one. Please. A class action suit may have to get in place before they do anything.

I apologize for your experience with the Lotus. We've actually had really good luck with it and it's discouraging to here horror stories like yours. You should have good luck with your "Refurbished" phone, it will have all of the latest hardware and software installed, so it should do well.

I had the same problem, and multiple others are here: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187530

I sent it in to LG and they sent it back unrepairable due to "bent board". Last time I checked silicon doesn't bend. Nothing is bent on the phone.

I think it's because I cracked the little fingernail-sized transparent camera lens cover and because it was cracked I couldn't take pictures, so I took it out and covered it with clear tape.

After I did that though, the phone worked for 4 months, then had the problem where it was stuck on the "LG Lotus" screen, no buttons would do anything, pulling battery out did nothing, etc, etc.

Anyway, kind of lame that they wouldn't even offer to sell me a refurbished unit, and there was no update via my Authorization code on the support site, the phone just showed back up at my front door, so I was out of a phone another 5 days while it got shipped back.

The phone is within warranty period, and LG had a chance to offer some great customer service by giving me a deal on a refurb, but this kind of thing doesn't make me want to get another LG. Especially considering my wife's LG Lotus had to be warrantied for the camera dying, then only working in speaker phone, then not working at all.

One more data point.. Hope my LG washer and dryer are problem-free.
