I know the Rumor has three built in IM clients but when I go to Instant Messaging it automatically logs me into AIM. This isn't typically a problem but I just found out that a friend of mine uses their MSN account more frequently. Any ideas why I can't access MSN or Yahoo messaging?

Thanks, Bill

Bill,

Go to IM client then sign out of AOL instant messenger. After logging off, it will take you back to the AOL sign on screen. If you scroll down further, you should see an auto-sign in option. Once unchecked, going to IM client will take you to the main screen where you will be able to select one of the three services.

Hope that works for you. Now I have a question for you if you do not mind taking a moment to answer. When I was able to log onto AOL IM before, the client would never register any of my friends as being online. I would sign out and log onto my PC where it says they are online. I asked them to stay online but when I went back to the rumor, it still did not register them as being online. I sent them a message anyway and they were able to respond just as if they were online regardless of what the client actually says. I was wondering if you had this same problem.

Regards,
Hieu

Hi Hieu,

Thanks for your response. It looks like that took care of it.

I noticedthe Rumordoesn't automatically update your buddy list so we have to update it manually. Click on the options button and the second option is "refresh buddies", that should take care of it.
