Got 2 phones from Sprint in Oct/Nov 2009.

We were told they were the Rumor 2. Model number inside says Rumor 2, FCC ID says BEJAX265.

Battery went out on one, Sprint was going to charge $70 for a new battery. I bought one online for a Rumor 2 and it didn't work. Bought another one for a Banter, worked fine. WTF is up with that?

Now I'm having a problem with the other one. My wife said when she slid it open, the screen went crazy and was like half portrait mode, half landscape mode. It wouldn't do anything else. She turned it off and back on, and it's been glitchy since then. She hasn't been able to slide it open, when she does, the screen goes blank. She takes good care of it and hasn't dropped it, thrown it, or get it wet.

Is there something wrong with these phones? From what I'm reading online, this seems to be a common problem.

Anyone know if Sprint/LG will fix or replace this phone? Or am I going to be stuck buying another new phone after a few months?

PS. I install home theaters and use LG equipment any time I can. I love their products. These phones are terrible though. Probably won't buy another LG phone. The internet capabilities of this phone are an absolute joke. Every site I go to..."Insufficient Memory"

The Banter and the Rumor2 are basically the same phone and take the same battery.
LG Phones carry a 1 Year warranty. Do you still have your original Battery? I'd talk to them about replacing that as well. You can reach them at: (800) 793-8896... They are generally pretty quick at turning Repair/Replacements around.
