I've been burned thrice!

1) LG Rumor Cell Phone - I purchased a Rumor through my cellular provider (Sprint). The charging unit of the phone went bad on me not once, not twice but three times. I had to send the phone back TWICE and both replacement phones (refurbished when they should have been new) had the same exact problem within a week. I gave up on the last one and sold it as defective on ebay to at least recoup a few of my dollars back.

2) LG 42 inch HDTV - I spent $800 on it, got it home and it immediately had a lip sync problem. The images were fantastic. The sound was fantastic. But I could never correct the lip syncing issue. I went out of my way to try and correct the problem with no luck including LG customer support and a number of online forums. It was returned and exchanged for a Samsung. Luckily I took it back immediately and wasn't stuck with it. I did however have to waste a lot of my time.

3) LG Model LHT854 Home Theater System with DVD Player - I purchased this system for $265 on July 31, 20009. It had great sound and I liked the setup very much. About three weeks ago the screen would go black for one second every 10-15 minutes when watching DVD's on the system. I got online and noted in a number of forums that many customers were having the same problem with their system. None listed a way to correct the situation. I changed out HDMI cables and ports and the problem still continued which told me it was definitely the home theater system and not my TV. I filed a warranty claim on the LG website over a week ago and was never contacted by customer support. That resulting in a dead end, I logged onto LG chat support where I spoke to a gentleman who was courteous and professional. He advised me that the system was out of warrant so I would be required to pay $69 for labor and mail the ENTIRE system to LG. This frustrates me on two different levels: a) It is absolutely ABSURD that I should have to pay $69 labor for a $265 piece of equipment I purchased less than 5 months ago. b) It is also absurd that I would have to send in speakers which I have wired through my ceiling when they have absolutely nothing to do with the problem. The correct response by LG would have been to send me a receiver/dvd player and have me return the defective one.

join the club,i have learned the hard way about lg products also,they are VERY helpful when making the purchase,but if you have an issue ,you get boxes of im sorry s and a barrel of thank you for being a valued customer responses.feel free to buy from them again? it will be much appreciated !

I'm really sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with LG products, I really love LG products specially their phones but all phone companies got some minor flaws to bear with.

yes ,yes they do,just some...no most will work with you on them,lg seems to be one that could care less.unless you want to purchase another lg product,which would go down as one of the dumbest things i could do.well besides thinking that there customer service really gave a .......about you.
