My wifes GR500 Xenon is not letting her know (doesn't ring) when she has a incoming call. It only beeps once the voicemail is received. I'm sure it's a setting of some kind. Also, it takes forever to send a multimedia meassgae, if at all. We have the 200 messaging plan. Please help. Thanks

Check your ring tones that you have set for your phone, and also the ring volume. You might try a different ringtone as well. Ring Tones can be found under Settings> Sounds..
You mentioned Slow messaging speed? Is it for SMS messages or MMS (Multimedia) messages? The MMS message will take longer since you are sending a Picture which is a lot of data to send. Up at the top of your display, do you see the "3G" icon or not? If you have don't have a 3G Icon it means you are not on AT&T's fast network connection which will slow you down as well.
Do you have a lot of saved messages? If, so that could be an issue,,, Let me know what you find out.

Hey, thanks for replying. Yes I am on 3G and it does show that at the top left of the screen. Sometimes it flips back and forth with the Edge network. The phone is only just 30 days old. The text is a MMS one. Since this post, the phone has gotten worse. It won't go back to the main menu, she can't access her voicemails, her image files are half of what she had. We think it has a virus. Our daughter forwarded us a funny MMS message and it started acting up a day or so later. It hasn't happened to me and I just deleted the message but I'm going to do a virus scan on it once I get home. I'm going to take hers in to out local ATT store tonight when I get off of work. It's a red Xenon and the store is out of them as it's a very popular phone. I had to exchange my phone the other day because my screen had a "wet" spot in the middle under the screen. The local store had to get a phone from another store and it took a couple days. What a mess!

I got home and did a virus scan on the phone and the results were negative. I pulled out the battery for 10 seconds and re-installed, fired it up and everything was solved. It must have just had a glitch. All is well.

Glad it's working now... I used to work about an hour from my home, and I noticed that after a few days things Slow down a little so I got use to pulling the battery for a few seconds ever couple of weeks... This seemed to clear up a lot of little mystery problems.

Several hanging problems and malfunctioning of some phones applications can be solved on pulling out the battery for a couple of minutes
