Ok so I decided to ditch my blackberry and was searching online for my next phone to get. Seeing as to how I did not wish to pay the renewal cost of a contract and a new phone through AT&T I went on ebay and found a refurbished AT&T red LG Xenon GR500. I love the phone and still getting used to the touchscreen and keyboard, but here's my problem... anytime I put in any size memory card in the slot nothing happens and no indication of a memory card being inserted will show up. I even go to the My Stuff tab and select "More" and go to "Memory Card" but all it keeps saying it to "Insert memory card". I've tried re-formatting the cards through my computer to see if that works but still nothing. When I had my BB it would ask me to format the card but this phone does absolutely nothing at all. I even tried going to "Settings" and then "More" and then "Memory" and then "Used space" then to "Memory Card" and all i get is : Card not ready.

Any thoughts? How do I fix this? Is it even possible to fix (I hope)?

What size is the Memory Card? Do you have a smaller one to try? FAT32 is the format you want... What Brand is the card? I'd try a different card and or a different size to see if this helps... It sound's like you are doing everything right... How old is the Xenon?

Ok, I was just doing a default format, not the FAT32. I will try that and see if it works then. I am using a 2GB card. I dont know how old the phone is because i bought it off of e-bay from a previous owner and it was classified as "refurbished". When I got the phone it looked brand new, no scratches or signs of usage.

Nope, didnt work. A few days ago I put my memory card in my friends phone because he had the same one through the same service provider and it immediately recognized the card and switched the memory default to memory card. Mine does nothing and doesn't recognize it at all. I sent LG an e-mail and they replied asking for my info to send in the phone for repair to see if it is under warranty or not and to see if the phone is repairable for this issue. LG was really nice in response to the e-mail. We'll see where this goes from here.

You should be able to get it repaired under Warranty, hopefully, The Xenon has only been out about a year, so If your going to send it in do it quick. Let me know what happens!!
