This wait and COMPLETE lack of information is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Why is there so much silence!? What is the hold up!? Why is LG releasing new phones and completely abandoning the existing customers!? If I would have had any idea that I would be treated this way as a customer I would have never purchased the Thrill. Everyone understands that dates slip and things happen, but to have a complete communication blackout is ridiculous. There are too many phones out there for people to choose from for people to have to deal with this. Right now...I'm not even asking for Gingerbread...I just want to know what is going on! This update was promised MONTHS AGO! I feel completely duped and want to exchange my phone, but now feel stuck. Does LG as a company even care that people feel that way..."stuck" with their product? Is that the kind of reputation that they feel is acceptable? |

As someone who bought the phone on the first day of release, I can sympathize. Not only do I still not have an update, but I also had to pay $100 for the phone when it's going for $10 nowadays. I like the phone, but we were promised by both LG and ATT we'd have a gingerbread update ages ago... The LG Optimus 3D equivalent came out in November of last year... Do you think we're just going to just forget about it? 'Cause believe me, that's not going to happen. I am still using the phone since I can't get a partial refund, I can't get a full refund, I can't get a trade... I use it every day! So get off your asses before someone sues you for false advertising. |

Yeah I understand, I'm a user as well... Someone made the mistake of estimating the end of "Oct", I made the mistake of estimating, based on the info I had, by the end of "Dec" ... I won't do that again! If I say soon, everyone gets there hopes up and gets frustrated.... If I say nothing, not wanting to fan the flames, people get upset. So I'm not sure what's the best answer... LG is aware of your frustration, we're trying to resolve this as quickly as we can... We are all waiting for the Thrill's update. Now I understand and I'm getting excited because I can see the light at the end of the tunnel... And No it's not an on coming train. I share with you what I can WHEN I can... Sometimes I can get you info to you before anyone else, and sometimes both you and I are in the dark, for good reason's I'm told... I can't always answer a lot of the "Why and When" questions, but I do what I can... This isn't any fun for me either I feel your pain, but my hands are tied .. So Silence or "Soon" are my only two options at this point. |

I spoke with ATT, they said that LG tests the software, send it to ATT, then Att sends it back to LG for the final testing. They said it can take up to 5 months for LG to fine tune the software. Gingerbread has been out for over a year, so the time certainly shouldn't be the problem. Even so, what can LG tell us as to who is testing the software right now, when did they recieve the software to test, and who is next in line to receive the software for testing?
We should at least get that. And as a note I for one do appreciate anything you can tell us and keeping us up to date on the fact that you are trying to find things out for us on a consistent basis even if you don't really get anything. I just think people would be less frustrated if we knew who had the software considering ATT is saying that they have sent the software back to LG when I talked to them yesterday. At least if we know who has it we can judge the time a little better. |

Why don't you just update to the Brazil 3D Rom 20A. It works for the LG Thrill. I have the same phone, and updated a couple of weeks ago. The Battery life is better than stock, there's no ghost calls, and 3G/4G works perfectly. The way I tested the 3G/4G is by accessing the hidden menu, and changing to 850MHZ (rather than the default of "Auto"). 3G speed was perfect (same as stock). Another added value is that you no longer have the crappy ATT software loaded. The only hitch is that you have to change your system language to english after loading the ROM because it is Brazillian by default, and there is no root yet. I personally perfered to loose root for the sake of getting GB. |

In all honesty a class action lawsuit is about the only option unless you tell whoever is above you that people are really starting to take this seriously, we have a dedicated community and what do we get for choosing this piece of junk, absolute terrible customer support, and delay after delay after delay(i'm not talking strictly about GB but also the release of the device, which many speculated was for a software update, then a name change which might I add never occurred). LG as well as ATT should be ashamed of themselves and both should really be worried by this since Verizon and Sprint are always very punctual about release dates. I want you to go tell your superior, or whomever you have to we want a concrete date no more beating around the bush and dragging us through the muck because this company is too lazy to be able to have things set on-time and in a timely manner. |

We're aware of the frustration level, and we are working hard with AT&T to get this release out... I'll be happy to pass your comments on, In fact I'll send the whole thread, Again........... I checked yesterday and saw that there were around 267 people who had signed the petition, so it's obvious that the frustration level is building Things are starting to fall into place on this end for the release. I will let you know more as soon as I can. I'll pass these Thrill threads, and the link to the Petition, on up the ladder, just to make sure everyone is up to speed on the comments from Android community. |

Just signed the petition. It's up to 343. I want my update yesterday. LOL. Seriously not happy with LG or AT&T right now. I regret getting this phone and I regret extending my contract with AT&T. |

So...it's been a week since any news...is anything moving? I really feel like LG could learn something from HTC, I just saw they posted thier update schedule for the phones that are going to get Ice Cream Sandwich (which was REALLY furstrating since we are STILL waiting on Gingerbread) on Facebook! By the way...one of those was the EVO 3D. Is anything happening? Silence is toxic! |

Yes things are happening.... I'll let you know what I can when I can, but Announcements for update's to AT&T phones will come through AT&T first... SIlence is definitely toxic, but then "Soon" doesn't make people happy either.... |

Thank you. It may feel like you have to say "soon", but I don't think anyone is looking for false hope (and I am positive you don't want to give it), just an update. It is really unfortunate that you have to be on the receiving end of the comments...we know you have nothing to do with the wait, but we have nowhere else to turn. |

I think its obvious they are simply trying to outwait the demand. If they said "We will not be releasing it" It would be a huge ordeal. Keeping people waiting keeps it down to a rumble until people give up, get a different phone, and forget. All you can really do is never buy LG again. I'm going back to HTC. They never did me wrong and I should not have strayed from their products. |
