My son has a neon and he would like to install a MP3 ringtone. I purchased a USB cable and I have the MP3 on my Vista desktop. The neon needs a driver to be identified via Vista. Drivers were installed from this URL
http://rapidshare.com/files/B2CAppSetup.zip

I followed the process:
Download and install the setup file, run the program, click on the tab Customer Support, pick Application, Manual and USB Driver Download, after wards, you will be requested to input your phones IMEI, Model and S/N.

It only required the IMEI number wihtout dashes and I selected the icon to the right of the number and it provided new zip file to download.

This zip expanded to two folders and one exe. Folders: FlashUSB, FlashUSBAGOLD,
exe: lgusbmodemdriver_whql_ml_ver_4.9.6_all

I installed all... I restart my PC, reconnect the LG Neon USB and Vista can't find the proper driver. I pointed to the correct driver via Vista driver process, but still nothing.

Ok.. what else could I do to get a mp3 ringtone on this phone without having to buy only what ATT offers?

FYI.. when I do plug it in, Vista state "USB device not recognized" and the driver is highlighted. Driver name: LGE Mobile Composite USB Driver

Try going under : Settings > Connection > Usb Connection Mode > Mass Storage..Then try hooking it up to the Usb and see if your pc is able to find it.

Why don't you try using a memory card reader it is much easy to use well everytime I want to transfer songs on my phone I don't have to install several softwares just to manage them
