new owner of cf360 here. I have worked out most of the settings on the CF360, but can't get the GPS to work. I can take photos and transfer them to my mac, but the location fields in the photo info tags are all blank. How to I get the gps turned on so that the phone knows my location and puts it into the photo info tags ? |

It sounds to me like the GPS doesn't have a fix on your position. The picture you have taken, are they outside on indoors> I would try the Navigation utility to see if the GPS is working. See if it get's your position and then close the App. I don't know of a "Switch" you can flip to turn on GPS manually, It should be activated by an application like TeleNav or possibly the Camera. Without using an application it doesn't look like there is a way to tell if the GPS is on or not. Most of the phone I've seen have a small icon in the menu bar indicating when the GPS is being accessed, but the CF360 doesn't have that. I would call AT&T Customer Service first to see what charges might apply by Activating TeleNav. I would also got AT&T or TeleNavs web site to see if you have to activate something to get the GPS configured and working. |
