do U have 2 switch plans 4 the lg tritan??? I am currently on a family plan and I just bought the tritan..would I have 2 switch 2 a smart phone plan?

Some providers allow you to have a data device on a line of service without paying the additional date fee. I generally do not recommend it as then you would be on a pay as you go plan. Some providers allow you to block data as well (with some limitations i.e you might not be able to send picture messages) Here is a link to U.S Cellulars data plans. Take a look and see if there is something that will work for you. It is nice to be able to use all the features.

Hi, I have Alltel and even tho this is not a smart phone ..(they say it is) yes they make you get their smart phone package (they didnt tell me this when I purchased 2 new Tritans for me and my husband). After I purchased the phone the woman at my local Alltel informed me that this would only raise my bill 15 dollars a month (she fibbed about several other things as well). I called alltel and asked about the "new" plan I had to have and they told me that in reality my bill increase by over 40 dollars! I complained alot and they gave me a discount for 12 months (taking my bill to 15 dollars extra that the lady at the store told me it would be).
