My husband & I recently renewed our plan and traded in our AX5000s for AX300GRs. While the new phones have many nice features, they do not fill the need. We tried to get the old phone back and was told they were already sent out. Where can we find AX5000s? My husband works in a shop and this phone had a nice LOUD ringer and also a strong vibrate mode. He normally kept it on vibrate/high ringer when at work. The new phone's vibrate mode is not even noticeable unless your hand is on it. The loudest ring on the ringer setting is about half as loud as the old one. Needless to say, he is unable to hear or feel the new phone and so misses most calls unless he actually has his hand on the phone. We tried out all the other LG's (which we would prefer to stay with) at the store, and they all had the same reduced sound and vibration, except for the contractor's phone, which doesn't have a camera. If it had a camera, we would have bought that one. Sorry to ramble. Can anybody help here? Thanks.

I did a little bit of research and it appears that Alltel no longer carries this phone as it as EOL (end of life). However, they are on eBay still; some for as low as $15! You can always keep the ones you got from Alltel as backups.

Isn't that it always seems to go? Once you find a product you like it's discontinued? I've had to switch hair products twice due to such issues!
