VX5500 won't pair with LG HBM-210 BT headset

mtbee Member                 0 Join Date: Jul 2009 Reputation: 0 Posts: 1	Hi, I bought an LG HBM-210 BT headset for my wife's LG VX5500. It was a special 1/2 off deal from Verizon. I bought the same device for my VX8350 and it works (and paired) just fine. However, I can not get the VX5500 to pair with the headset. The HBM-210 is supposed to be compatible with the VX5500. I put the HBM-210 in sharing mode (solid blue LED) and using the VX5500 BT menu, set it to look for a device. It finds the HBM-210 all right, but won't pair. It just hangs at "Attempting to auto pair" until the HBM-210 auto shuts off after several minutes. I tried my other HBM-210, which works fine with my VX8350, and still the VX5500 won't pair with it. The VX5500 does something similar with my Garmin Nuvi GPS. The GPS can see the VX5500, but can't complete the connection no matter how many things I try. Has anyone successfully paired their VX5500 with an HBM-210? Does it need a FW update? The SW version is VX550V02. Or does my phone's BT simply broken? Thanks!

GBurge09 Member                 0 Join Date: Jul 2009 Reputation: 0 Posts: 56	hmmmm thats wierd.... It sounds like a software problem to me. Try taking it into a verizon and they can update it for you and that should fix the problem, or they could exchange your phone. Hope i helped!
